I come from a background in BioGeography and Plant Ecology, computer modeling of ecological interactions over changing landscapes. So of course I build websites now.
I Worked at the Sierra Club for 3 years, then at a high end consulting firm (Tiffany website, NYMoma, bestbuy, ect).
I've been at UCSF for over 15 years in a variety of roles, web developer, Senior web developer, customer communications manager, etc.
Some things I've done here:
* built directory.ucsf.edu
* built help.ucsf.edu
* launched first its.ucsf.edu site, and upgraded to a CMS
* managed web and communications team for ITS
* managed 3 redesigns of the main UCSF website www.ucsf.edu
* built an ecosystem of over 1,000 UCSF Drupal websites.
What I'm up to now: * working on building out Drupal sites and community at UCSF
